Should Deformed Wheels Be Repaired or Replaced?

The degree of wheel deformation is often a key factor in determining whether a new wheel is necessary.

1,External forces often cause wheel damage, and deformation is a frequent problem. For minor deformation, dynamic balancing can be attempted. If restoration to its original state is not possible, replacement should be considered.

2,For severe deformation, the strength and toughness of both steel and aluminum alloy wheels will no longer meet safety standards, making replacement necessary to avoid potential safety risks.

3,Similarly, cracks or other damage to the wheel, whether accompanied by deformation or not, should be replaced immediately.

4,Also, while surface scratches and damage can be repaired through cleaning, polishing, repainting, and baking, severely deformed wheels may still pose safety risks even after repair, making replacement a more reliable option.

It is worth noting that while cracking in steel wheels is uncommon, it should also be replaced promptly if it occurs.
