Common Welding Defects of Construction Steel Wheel Rims are mainly the following:

Cracks, holes, solid inclusions, lack of fusion and incomplete penetration, shape defects and other defects.

1 Cracks: Under the combined action of welding stress and other brittle factors, the metal atoms in the local area of the weld joint are destroyed, thus forming a new interface and causing a gap.

2 Holes: Including pores and shrinkage holes, crystallization shrinkage holes. Crystallization shrinkage holes are long shrinkage holes formed in the center line of the weld during the cooling process of the weld. There may be residual gas in it.
