Quality Inspection Items of Section Steel

Quality inspection of section steel will include the following items,

1. Appearance Inspection: including the surface state, dimensional accuracy, straightness, curvature and other inspections of steel sections.
2. Composition Analysis: using chemical methods or spectral analysis to detect whether the composition of steel sections meets the standard requirements.
3. Metallographic Structure Inspection: usually using a metallographic microscope to analyze the structure of steel sections to understand its internal structure and its relationship with mechanical properties such as strength and plasticity.
4. Density Determination: density is one of the important physical parameters of steel sections, and the size of the density value can reflect the strength and quality of steel sections.
5. Mechanical Property Inspection: including tensile test, impact test, hardness test, etc., mainly to detect whether the performance parameters such as strength, toughness, hardness and so on of steel sections meet the standard requirements.
6. Flaw Detection: using ultrasonic, magnetic powder, eddy current and other flaw detection methods to detect defects inside steel sections, such as cracks, inclusions, etc.
